Fixed in edge and 2.2 with minor modifications.

I didn't import the "setdirs" function, as changes in default config should not be implemented in init scripts, rather in default config if necessary. Default config should have been fixed in #655.
I kept logs in /var/log/BackupPC for the sake of consistency, since other backup programs are configured to write in /var/log, even if their logging format isn't syslog like.
